20/20: What Would You Do/Racism In America

What would YOU do??

I was on a themed roll on stumble earlier today. "What would you do?" videos on YouTube. I'd like to believe that I would step up in EVERY one of these scenarios, but I dont know. Shit happens, other shit is going on, maybe I'm stoned as shit and sometimes you really just don't notice this shit going on.
shit.
ok, it's out of my system.

(The guy telling them to TONE IT DOWN, wtf?!)

There would be NO HESITATION on my part in this situation.

E a cantar, eu nunca te ouvi
Será de ti ou pensas que tens...que ser assim?...

Olha que a vida não, não é nem deve ser
Como um castigo que tu terás que viver
Olha que a vida não, não é nem deve ser
Como um castigo que tu terás que viver

TRANSLATION
change your life, if you're not satisfied
change your life, you can always change
change your life, you shouldn't live in angst
change your life, if there's life throbbing inside you.

i've never seen you smiling
i've never heard you sing
is it you, or do you think you have to be that way?

live isn't and it's not supposed to be like that
like a punishment you have to live through

S. Kagan on Death continued

Monday, May 11, 2009

!!??..??!!..

I've been having some very vivid dreams lately. They feel so real, it's crazy. I've always been one to dream and, hazily, remember them but, lately, they're so hard to forget!

In a dream, where does the dialogue come from? Is it what I would actually say, were I in that situation? Is it what I would WANT to say but couldn't? Taken out of a movie/show/conversation that was watched/spoken prior to the dream? Because the things I've said in said dreams, oh my...!

By Shelly Kagan

I'm a poor fool, with no transportation, baby sitter or money to pursue my education at this point in my life. That doesn't mean I don't like learning now, or I don't enjoy a mental challenge. I enjoy the lectures by Yale Professor Shelly Kagan, in particular. He reminds me of my high school theatre arts teacher and his lectures are really interesting. Philosophy is one of my could-be majors. Along with Poli-Sci, English or Journalism.

Anyway, I am up to part four of Shelly Kagan's Philosophy lectures on Death. I will add more once I get to them. If you aren't interested in these, go ahead and check out http://academicearth.org/, they have something for everyone.
