Killzone 2-- No audio fix

If you happen to have Killzone 2 and there is no audio when you load up the game, I may have a solution for you. Go to audio settings on the XMB and make sure the ONLY ONE checked is Dolby Digital 5.1, I also had DTS 5.1 checked, but once I undid that... *tada!* Audio!

If that doesn't solve your problem, you might want to:

  • Check your cables
  • Check the in-game audio settings
  • Turn off PS3 and restart
If all else fails, maybe delete the save content and boot up game to start new download...? Maybe!

Now I thought it was because I ahve HDMI going into the TV and Optical going to my sound receiver. I was assuming it was detecting an HDMI cable being used and just routed all sound through that instead. I'm eager to try this now... Hope it works.

How about mid way through a game you sound becomes distorted? I then can not hear things like the beeping of a nade or the clicking sound when changing classes?
