I am getting ready to place an order from one of my favorite sites, E.L.F! Usually, it takes me a few days to 'perfect' my order. I make the rounds, go through all the eye make up... (then the lips, nails, tools) and add everything I want! Once on my list, I go through each and read reviews, check out color options, add and remove items accordingly. Then I update the quantities for each, look for promo codes (and E.L.F always has great promotions!) and check out! OH! Did I mention they always include a free gift and most of their items are only a dollar!! I know a few people who are skeptical to try such "cheap" make up but I am not one to pass up a chance at saving money! I have tried quite a few of their products and feel comfortable recommending their stuff.

Here are some of the items I really liked:

  • ELF complete set of twelve brushes- I don't use all of them but got them just in case! Good quality for a dollar a piece! $12
  • Mechanical eyelash curler- this is THE BEST lash curler I've ever used. REALLY! The shape is different where you insert your lashes or something but it works great! $1
  • Brightening eye color in Nouveau Neutrals- light wash of color, add layers to increase color payoff. My daily natural look. $1
  • Custom Eyes- I ordered golden glow (great gold tone, not too much!), Periwinkle (love it!!) and Dusk. Dusk is a good DARK gray color, too dark for my fair skin. $1
  • Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara- I am in between on this one. Good: for shaping brows and getting rid of loose shadow from lashes. Bad: it doesn't dry!! $1
  • Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter- I use fair and this is one of the best fair tones Ive used. Very creamy and love the highlighter. I actually use this all over, not just under my eyes. This is under the STUDIO makeup tab. $3
  • Plumping Lip Glaze- Ruby Kiss! It doesn't really plump but I do love the color.
  • Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance- LOVE LOVE this! Light shimmer, no bronzing. Great all over!
And some I won't be buying again:
  • Eye Makeup Remover Pads- this burns my eyes so much! Used twice and the rest were thrown out. I do have sensitive eyes, though.
  • Therapeutic Conditioning Balm- after using this, my lips became very flaky.
  • Duo Eye Shadow Cream- I ordered 3 different color duo's and wasn't happy with any. Maybe I need a better primer? Maybe I dont know how to apply cream properly?
  • Eye Widener in Pearl White- in between on this one. It is hard to get the white to actually rub off onto my eye but when it does happen... they do look wider.
  • Natural Radiance Blusher in Flushed- too bright!!! even when i use a very light hand, it is too pink!
  • ELF tweezers- these are just too sharp for my eye area. I tweezed with these twice, and both times, drew blood.

Also, I know my local grocery store has a very limited selection of ELF products, try out their store locator to save your shipping! But remember! they always have great promo's!
